President Uhuru Kenyatta on Monday met Japan’s Prime Minister Shinzō Abe’s Special Advisor at State House, Nairobi, where they discussed the upcoming TICAD VI Summit.
Special Advisor Katsuyuki Kawai delivered a letter from Prime Minister Abe, praising the long cooperation between Kenya and Japan.
Mr Kawai expressed optimism that the TICAD Summit, to be held in Nairobi at the end of the month, would be a success.
President Kenyatta appreciated the partnership between Japan and Kenya – a partnership, he said, that had held strong since Kenya’s independence.
Kenya, the President said, looked forward to welcoming Prime Minister Abe, who is expected the visit to strengthen Kenya’s partnership with Japan.
