President Uhuru Kenyatta has cited self-sacrifice, commitment to unite the nation and genuine interest to serve people as some of the key ingredients of good leadership.
Addressing students from Pembroke House School who visited him at State House, Nairobi, President Kenyatta emphasised the need for the youth to cultivate values that will bring out their leadership potential early in life.
President Kenyatta also commended the role of teachers in moulding the youth and laying a firm foundation for the country’s future.
“We have to look at teachers differently because they shoulder a heavier workload that goes beyond teaching. They play a crucial role in moulding the youths,” President Kenyatta said.
After a question and answer session, President Kenyatta conducted the students and their teachers on a tour of State House.
