Kenyatta’s visit comes just two days after the UNHCR chief, Fillipo Grandi issued that donor funds would be needed to facilitate the whole process of taking the displaced Somali people back to their native nation.

It is expected that Ban Ki Moon will seize the opportunity to inform Kenya as a nation to reconsider the decision owing to the recent attacks by Al-Shabaab attacks on the Ethiopian and Amisom military bases in Somalia.

Other agendas lined up in President Kenyatta's submission during the 10th edition of the famous European Development Days' forum include the push for a greater global cooperation and participation both in intelligence sharing and boots on the ground, all of which demand an adequate and sustained funding.

Accompanying President Kenyatta will be the Foreign Affairs CS, Amina Mohammed.
