Mau Mau War Veterans from all over the country will be hosted by the president to honour their great sacrifice for the nation,Uhuru has said.
Through his Twitter handle, Kenyatta affirmed that his government is in the process of unveiling a monument in their (Mau Mau Veterans) honour towards the end of the year.
"My government will assist those who are unable to access medical treatment by working on a Medical Scheme for them," Uhuru said.
The president also said that once united, the Government will work to incorporate those living in poverty into the expanded social protection plan.
"I have this morning met representatives of the Mau Mau War Veterans Association drawn from all over the country and urged them to be united and work as one so that my Government can be able to look into their welfare."he tweeted
