[Photo|E.Rono]Uasin Gishu County Governor Jackson Mandago has urged President Uhuru Kenyatta to assent to the Elections amendment Bill into law in  order to seal loopholes in the electoral process.He said elections has been abused by a few persons especially in the opposition NASA camp, who are taking the country in rounds with unreasonable demands.“I request President Uhuru Kenyatta to sign the bill to become law as soon as possible for sanity to prevail," he said during Mashujaa day celebrations, Friday. “This amendment bill will  also ensure that measures are put in place to ensure that returning and presiding officers are held responsible if they do not sign required documents," he added. He reiterated that the Country cannot be on an electioneering state  for over a year. "Kenyans are losing a lot of money to the elections, monies which would have otherwise been spent on building roads and getting services closer to the people," noted Mandago.Mandago assured  electorates that the state  will guarantee them security and peace towards, during and after the presidential repeat polls. Deputy Governor Daniel Chemno called on the electorate to turn up in large numbers and vote for President Uhuru Kenyatta to continue with the process of building the Country.
