Tanzanian President John Magufuli on Friday refuted claims that he has personal issues with his Kenyan counterpart Uhuru Kenyatta.

Instead, Magufuli admitted 'small vexing issues' on matters trade and challenged ministers from both Nairobi and Dar es salaam to meet and iron them out.

"We only have small issues relating to business and traders. We want ministers from both countries to meet and iron them out urgently," he said at Lake Victoria Resort.

The CCM leader added: "These are small matters that should be resolved quickly. As leaders(Uhuru and him), we don't have a problem. We are okay.

Last year, a furious Magufuli was recorded firing warning to Kenya after seizing cattle belonging to Maasai's of Kenya.

At the meeting, Uhuru said: "These small matters require urgent attention."

Understandably, Magufuli is a close friend of Kenya's opposition leader Raila Odinga and the two have met severally since the former took office in 2015.

East African Community minister Peter Munya and his Foreign Affairs counterpart Monica Juma will decide the date for the urgent meeting.
