Mbita Member of Parliament (MP) Millie Odhiambo has called for the resignation of President Uhuru Kenyatta.

According to the lawmaker, President Uhuru has failed as a head of state and he should vacate office.

"I want to tell the president in other countries in the world when a country reaches this level the most honorable thing to do as the president is not even to wait for August 2017 but he should resign immediately and let somebody else who is capable of handling the country take over" she stated.

Odhiambo further said that the government had no moral right to question the Opposition on anything to do with governance because there had all failed the country in their mandate.

The outspoken member of parliament also said that the health sector was collapsing because Uhuru's sister is alleged to be part of the Afya House scandal.
