President Uhuru has reiterated the critical role that institutions of higher learning can play in his administration's development agenda. The president spoke yesterday at a graduation ceremony at Kibabii University in Bungoma where former Bumula MP, Bifwoli Wakoli, graduated with an Education Masters Degree.Universities, the president said, faced a challenge of ensuring that the knowledge that they were imparting matched with the skills that the job market demanded.''We want our universities to teach skilled courses for entrepreneurship so that graduands can be self-reliant instead of depending on employment,'' he said.Education Cabinet Secretary, Fred Matiang'i, was part of the president's high-powered delegation that graced the graduation ceremony.''Kenya has tremendous opportunities for young men and women who have these skills. Teach your students to make the most of them,'' President Uhuru Kenyatta urged.Matiang'i on his part said that the Ministry of Education had given Kibabii University about 235 million shillings to complete pending projects.
