In a televised address this afternoon, Manoah Esipisu revealed what has been troubling President Uhuru Kenyatta.
The presidential spokesperson said that Uhuru Kenyatta was particularly troubled by the bloody violence and deaths that have marred recent protests.
''The president is particularly troubled by the violence and disorder we have seen in parts of the country in the last few months and he deeply regrets that we have lost Kenyans to this violence. He mourns every life lost in this senseless riots and no Kenyan should die because of their political leaning.'' Esipisu said.
Violence erupted in opposition strongholds in the country as NASA supporters took to the streets to express their resistance to Kenyatta's presidency.
Kenya is in the throes of a long-running political uncertainty that has deepened after the Supreme Court ruling.
Kenyatta faces a deeply divided country and will be hoping to heal those divisions to be able to deliver on his agenda for Kenyans..
