Kenyan football legend Joe Kadenge is now a happy man after his wish to meet the president materialised when president Uhuru Kenyatta paid him a visit at his Mariakani home in Nairobi.
The Head of State, from Mombasa where he ushered in the New Year, went to Kadenge’s home thus giving the ailing legend a chance of fulfilling his wish.
This comes in the wake of Kadenge complaining about senior officials in the Ministry of Sports whom he insinuated have been preventing him from meeting President Kenyatta for his own personal interests, among them, to plead for financial help.
Alongside first Lady Margret Kenyatta and other senior State House officials, Kenyatta gave Kadenge and family Sh2 million with a promise to offset the legend’s housing problems as well as making sure that the NHIF covers his medical expenses.
