Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka has revealed that President Uhuru Kenyatta has never changed his phone number.
Addressing Mutomo residents at a funds drive in Kitui County on Friday, Kalonzo said he called the President to discuss the alleged ongoing eviction of the Kamba community at Mwea and Njukini schemes.
There have been scuffles at Mwea settlement scheme in Embu and Njukini area in Taita Taveta where houses have been demolished and several people who had lived on the land for decades forced to vacate the areas.
Kalonzo said every Kenyan has a right to live in any part of the country as provided for in the constitution.
“President Uhuru Kenyatta has never changed his number, I knew that this Saturday," Kalonzo said.
On her side, Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu who spoke at the same function asked Uhuru to involve the Kamba community in his government.
“Machakos, Kitui and Makueni counties got only one Cabinet Secretary position, they have forgotten the Kamba community. So when you go there (talking to Kalonzo), tell them that we are saying we have the right to be in that government,” Ngilu said.
