ODM legislators, led by Timothy Bosire of Kitutu Masaba claim that the president is not fit to seek re-election, and he should own up and declare that he is unable to run the country.
The legislators accuse the president for failing to take action and responsibility for the many problems facing the country like hunger and industrial action crisis.
"If the president cannot rise to the challenge of leadership, then for the good of the nation he must own up and let kenyans know that they are on their own," said Bosire.
The lawmakers had gone to visit one of the doctors union officials at the Langata Women's prison.
"We are dismayed at the lack of political leadership required to resolve the stalemate in this country," said Bosire.
Gladys Wanga, the Homabay Women Representative also expressed her diasappointment with the government 'for jailing' doctors, yet many corrupt individuals walk freely on the streets.
The legislators also claim that the doctors union officials who were jailed were separated and placed in different prisons, a move meant to torture them so that they can break down.
