Rift Valley Regional Coordinator Wanyama Musiambo has been appointed as the deputy to the Head of Public Service Joseph Kinyua.

The President also retained Education Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i and Tourism CS Najib Balala.

The two are among the six cabinet secretaries retained by the Head of State.

Other lucky CSs are Energy CS Charles Keter, Treasury CS Henry Rotich, ICT CS Joseph Mucheru and the transport CS James Macharia.

The president said during the State House release that the appointments are key in honoring his promise to Kenyans.

He plans to have a better second term compared to his maiden rein.

However, DP William Ruto was not in attendance as the President named his cabinet.

The absence coupled with the parliamentary row in Jubilee involving MPs from Rift Valley and a city-based legislature explains a lot than what meets the eye.

Meanwhile, Jubilee Party Secretary-General Raphael Tuju and party chief whip Ben Washiali testified against four Jubilee MPs in court.

Jubilee wants the court to reverse the order that blocked the removal of Alfred Ketre (Nandi Hills), Silas Kipkoech (Moiben), James Mwangi (Embakasi North) and Kangongo Bowen (Marakwet East) removal from parliamentary committees.
