President Uhuru Kenyatta on Wednesday shook hands with Embakasi East MP Babu Owino after delivering as he the State of TheNation (SoTN) address.
There has been bad blood between the two leaders after Babu Owino allegedly insulted the family of President Uhuru.
During the address, President Uhuru said that it was time for the country to move forward through reconciliation after divisive 2017 polls.
Following the move, MPs started shaking hands, with Babu and another MP walking up to him to shake his.
"Neither peace nor unity are given, we must work for them. I say so because I believe last year taught me that if we don't put an end to unrestrained political competition, it will put an end to Kenya. Let us each apologize for our words and for the anger and malice... from Lodwar to LungaLunga, let us shake hands and embrace our neighbors," Uhuru said.
