Kwale County will play host to a seminar aimed at inducting newly-elected governors from December 13 - 17.
The president and his deputy will grace the seminar with the former opening it while the latter closing it.
Experts will help the governors digest the bewildering array of laws governing devolution.
A replacement of Governor Nanok who is the chairman of The Council of Governors will also be found with Kwale's governor Salim Mvurya said to be the strongest of contenders.
Kirinyaga governor Anne Waiguru is expected to be elected as the vice-chairman because of his experience as Devolution CS.
Tharaka Nithi governor Muthomi Njuki expressed concerns that the time allocated for the seminar may not be enough.
Njuki revealed that some opposition leaders had pushed for the seminar to happen without the president attending.
