Speaking on Tuesday in Kisumu during the second governors' conference, President Uhuru Kenyatta said he has put mechanisms in the fight against corruption and therefore challenged County bosses to follow suit.

He also asked them to embrace dialogue and solve internal issues that derail development in counties.

"My government is at forefront in the fight against corruption since this one of the greatest enemies towards development. I ask governors to also fight this sleaze so that you can realize development in your counties," he said while he opened a four day workshop at Tom Mboya College.

On his side, former Prime Minister Raila Odinga asked the government to screen its confidants, saying that some of them have no good will to Kenya.

Odinga asked Kenyatta to find a better way to withdraw Kenya Defence Forces from the Somalia in order to end retaliatory attacks from the Alshabab sect.

"Your people are letting you down. Screen them so that you can have only genuine people who have Kenya in their heart," Odinga told Uhuru. "Employ proper mechanisms to withdraw KDF from Somalia," former PM added.
