President Uhuru Kenyatta has expressed disappointment, following an attack on pilgrims in Egypt.
This is after gunmen attacked a bus carrying worshippers in central Egypt, killing at least 28 people and wounding 25 others, Friday.
BBC reports President Abdel Fattah Sisi said he would "not hesitate to strike terrorist camps anywhere".
Announcing the strike in a TV speech late, Friday, he promised to "protect our people from the evil".
"The murderous attacks on pilgrims in Egypt have shocked the conscience of the world.We in Kenya have endured similar extremist attacks," said Uhuru.
In his message of condolence, from Italy, Saturday, Uhuru assured that Kenya would help Egypt in any way possible.
"We mourn with those who weep for their children. We resolve, with them, that we will overcome those who have chosen division, hatred and violence over unity and peace."
"We rededicate ourselves to the cause of coexistence on our continent. And we pledge, to the people of Egypt, that we will stand with them, and offer any help we can in this moment of sorrow," Uhuru who is in Italy for the G7 meeting, said, in a communication.
No group immediately said it was behind the attack.
"A Christian official in Minya Province, south of Cairo, said the attackers opened fire on a pickup truck carrying workmen and a bus carrying worshippers as they traveled in convoy to St. Samuel’s monastery. Many of the worshippers were children," reports ZeroHedge.
