Speaking on Radio Citizen's 'Jungu Kuu' on Wednesday evening, Mutambu claimed that the unnamed individuals are using the series of graft revelations in government bodies to taint Uhuru's leadership.

He noted that the state officers in question have failed in helping the President tame bad deeds within his leadership, assuming the role of whistleblowers with a malicious purpose.

"Uhuru's enemies are his friends and state officers in his government who instead of alerting him of ongoing happenings are rushing to the media to make revelations in a bid to harm his leadership," Mutambo said.

Uhuru who is serving his second and final term in office is keen on leaving a spotless legacy, an attempt that is, however, facing a possible failure as a result of recent scandal revelations, including the alleged Sh9 billion saga at the National Youth Service (NYS).

Also in the list is, the maize puzzle at the National Cereals and Produce Board (NCPB), where maize cartels have reportedly benefited instead of genuine farmers, earning millions of shillings as farmers' produce get rejected.
