President Uhuru Kenyatta along with his Jubilee Party have selected their choice for Senate Speaker.
Following a meeting held on Saturday, the Jubilee party agreed to lobby support for former Senator Beatrice Elachi.
According to Roysambu MCA Peter Warutere, the decision to select Beatrice Elachi was mutual.
“We had a meeting with the President Uhuru Kenyatta where we chose our leaders ahead of starting house business. We are happy with the choice we made,” the MCA stated.
In similar news, Ruai MCA Kamungu Nyumu has been chosen as her deputy.
Matopeni Ward representative Abdi Guyo has been selected as majority leader and Ngara Ward Representative Mwaura Chege has been chosen as the majority whip.
Following the appointment of many Jubilee candidates in various parts of the country, they will be aiming to make use of their large numbers in government.
