A remark by President Uhuru Kenyatta on his deputy William Ruto has caused a stir on social media.
After Uhuru and Ruto finished issuing title deeds to Nairobians at Embakasi, they stopped on their way back to the high walls of power to greet their supporters.
While addressing the supporters, Uhuru told wananchi that they can always tell the DP their issues because he will be meeting them often.
Uhuru said: "Huyu kijana Ruto unajua kila weekend atangatanga kila pahali, atakuwa anapitia hizi machorochoro. Mkiona kuna kitu inaenda konakona mumwambie tuhakikishe kazi ya wananchi imefanyika," Uhuru said.
Social media users said the remarks by Uhuru were meant to demean his deputy.
"Did I hear it right? Kijana wa kutangatanga!???" Bob Kiplagat said.
"President Kenyatta speaking English in Kiswahili, and it sounds like an insult," Gitungo Wamere posted on Facebook.
"Siku hizi Uhuru anarusha za uso tu, ikikupata ukalilie mbele," Hassan Wafil said.
