Double Double party leader Jaffer Isaak has opposed the impending disbandment of IEBC.
Speaking on Friday when he received his party papers from the registrar of political parties, Isaak said it would have been better replacing the officials at the top instead of the entire team.
The party leader said replacement of an entire team did not guarantee that the issue of trust had been solved.
“What guarantee do we have that the new commissioners will get it right? They came in to replace those commissioners, who failed and so did they,” Jaffer said.
He also criticised the exit package the state plans to pay the IEBC commissioners.
“Why should you be given a send-off package after failing in your job? We have an attitude problem,” Jaffer said.
The ex-soldier said he was about to start a nationwide campaign to publicise the party.
