Presidential aspirant, lawyer Philip Murgor has dismissed beliefs that for one to vie for presidency, they must be rich, or financially, 'very' stable.
He said if that was the norm, then Kenya will never get a president who will address the people's plight.
Murgor noted he has no money to conduct campaigns, since he is not rich.
"Truly, I don't have money, and I am not rich. It is always believed that for one to vie for presidency, they must have resources. Well, I don't have the resources,'' said the former Director of Public Prosecution (DPP).
During an interview on one of the local television stations, he noted persons with a lot of resources are usually the ones engaging in corruption, an stealing from the tax payer.
"Anyone with huge resources, they are likely to have gotten them through dubious means. Many steal to become rich. I wouldn't to wait to have resources so as to be Kenya's president. I will deliver while still poor,'' he added, Sunday evening.
He further indicated he would first ask all corrupt individuals in government to tender their resignations, the first day he becomes Kenya's fifth president.
