NTV journalist Larry Madowo on Monday sparked an online battle with presidential candidate Dr Ekuru  Aukot of the Third way Alliance of Kenya.

The hopeful went bare knuckle at Larry firing shot after shot at the journalist for tweeting about his 'mammoth' crowd in Naivasha.

Larry had posted photos of the aspirant addressing a group of people in Naivaisha with the caption reading; “Presidential candidate Dr Ekuru Aukot addresses a mammoth crowd in Naivasha in his first public rally”.

The post rubbed Aukot the wrong shoulder and he went on the rampage calling the journalist all sorts of name.

"I gather that @LarryMadowo has a good grasp of our campaigns and is busy selling us in his own images? Wow! What happened to his journalism?" he tweeted.

The aspirant went on: "It's no doubt that the 'socialite fake journalist' @LarryMadowo is ignorant of facts about leadership.

Larry  on his part said: "I will not be cyber bullied, not least by a thin-skinned presidential candidate with 0.1% support."

Aukot could not let go of the journalist saying he could not understand why Nation Media Group (NMG) would keep a clown like Larry on the job.

"Journalism is not the same as playing  Valentine Day pranks Mr @LarryMadowo. Your type of 'journalism' is cheap," the aspirant said.

"I don't understand why a media house like NMG would keep a clown like @LarryMadowo a day longer with his cheap journalism."
