Mr Samuel Omwando who lost the Kitutu Chache South parliamentary seat last year said that the President should stop taking Kenyans for a ride.

He argued that many Kenyans shed a lot of blood during the chaos that were witnessed during last year's campaigning period.

"President Kenyatta and his deputy should stop making jokes and ensure that he fulfills what he promised Kenyans. Together with his deputy, he should realize that their apologies will not change the minds of Kenyans," he said.

He said that Kisii County residents recognized opposition leader  Raila Odinga as the duly elected president as he was sworn in early this year," said Mr Omwando.

The politician urged members of Kisii County to ignore the apology because the apology came too late.

This comes just days after President Kenyatta and his Deputy apologized to Kenyans on what took place after the August 8, 2017 elections.
