President Uhuru Kenyatta has promised construction of roads with Sh8 billion being allocated for Machakos county roads.
The president was speaking on Friday morning in Kangundo sub-county as he kicked off his Ukambani visits.
"We have started the developments and will continue to support the road Construction beginning with the Kenol-Kangundo road in a bid to increase Machakos network," said Uhuru.
The president further stated the government had set aside more than 8 billion geared towards roads infrastructure.
The president highlighted the need for accessible health to the citizens.
"We saw a need to provide and improve health facilities and therefore the need to have 2 hospitals in every County, one of the hospitals that we have invested 400 million shillings is in Kangundo," he added.
Among the officials accompanying the president during the Machakos visit, is Deputy President William Ruto, Dr Alfred Mutua Machakos Governor, Matungulu, Mwala and Machakos Members of Parliament among others.
