Perhaps the most powerful demonstration of how dear to the Nakuru is, the two leaders took their Thanksgiving celebrations to the county in 2016 when the International Criminal Court dropped the human rights violation charges against them. Now the county wants to be rewarded with a cabinet slot for its unwavering loyalty. Many in the county feel that what they got from Jubilee during President Uhuru's first term was not proportional to their contribution to the realisation of a Jubilee presidency.Senator Susan Kihika has been leading the charge of piling pressure on Uhuru Kenyatta to include a Nakuru resident in his cabinet line-up.''We are not demanding a position but are waiting for one as a reward from President Kenyatta to the residents who strongly stood behind his re-election.'' She said.
