Political pressure is mounting continuously on Senate Speaker Kenneth Lusaka and Devolution Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa to support the newly found unity of Amani National Congress and Ford Kenya political parties.
Navakholo MP Emmanuel Wangwe and his Lugari counterpart Ayub Savula requested the two leaders to stay in the government but support the push to unite the Luhya votes ahead of 2022.
Similar thoughts of unity of purpose were shown in Baringo County where Kalenjin MPs called on Deputy President William Ruto and Baringo Senator Gideon Moi to work together towards 2022 general elections.
The process to unite the Luhya vote has been revitalized with ANC’s Musalia Mudavadi and Ford-Kenya’s Moses Wetangula speaking of working together.
The main goal to unite the politically divided luhya vote through coming together of Mudavadi and Wetangula is now putting more pressure on luhya leaders supporting the ruling Jubilee party to be part of the union.
Speaking at Ingotse secondary school in Navakholo, area mp Emmanuel wangwe of Jubilee party, gave his support for the unifying call as his Lugari counterpart Ayub Savula took a swipe at Senate speaker Kenneth Lusaka and devolution cs Eugene wamalwa for giving the luyha unity agenda a wide berth.
