A beautiful woman who made other men turn their heads during a burial in Nyabioto village shocked mourners when she was found in possesion of a stolen mobile phone and laptop.
Jeniffer, who was described as a friend had travelled with mourners from the city.
It is said that she was a close friend to the late Mary Otuke who passed on after a short illness.
Japheth Okioi who lost his mobile phone decided to look for it before making it public when he could no longer get it.
This prompted the burial officials to carry an impromptu search mission.
"We decided to call everyone telling them that we were all needed to leave the place because a neighbor was planning to cause chaos," said Kambi, the burial committee chairman.
According to him, the suspect must have been one of the visitors that travelled to Kisii from Nairobi because the items were stolen at night.
"The visitors who travelled from Nairobi were given a house and they used to sleep their. The items were stolen at night that automatically meant that the suspect was one of them," he said.
Jeniffer even led in a song cursing the neighbor who was planning to cause chaos as the mourners boarded a bus that ferried them to Kisii.
No sooner had everyone entered the bus than Kambi started asking each one of them to alight and go back to the house.
Jeniffer was the first to alight with her small hand bag and when she reached the house she was shocked to be told to open it up.
She caused chaos which forced men to intervene and unpack her bag.
The items were then found in the bag and given back to the owner.
"I dont know how those things reached their, if you had plans of branding me a thief you shall see," she threatened.
