Candidates of the just concluded Kenya Certificate of Primary Education examinations have been urged to respect and obey their parents and guardians as they await their results.
Speaking to the pupils after sitting their last papers on Thursday, Olympic Primary School head teacher Mr Caleb Ochieng said they are now in the care of their parents and guardians.
“Some of you think completing primary education is all that you were born to do. You have forgotten that you need to join secondary school and university. You are teenagers and the adolescence stage can really change your mind if you are not careful. You will sometimes think you know everything and therefore be rude to parents,” said Mr Ochieng’.
He also advised them to help their parents and guardians with family chores.
“You should be obedient to God and parents. Being rude will not add any value to your life,” added Ochieng.
“I have blessed you as your teacher and as your parent. Let us meet as soon as the results are announced,” concluded Ochieng’.
