Nyamira County's Kemasare Secondary school principal James Mong'are has praised Education and ICT Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i for dissolving the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) Board over exam cheating.
Speaking on Thursday to this writer, the school principal termed the move by the CS as bold, timely and a step closer to restoring examination integrity in the country.
"I wish to thank our Education Cabinet Secretary, Fred Matiang'i for the bold move he has made in dissolving the examination body board. I believe it is a step closer to achieving higher standards in our education system and even restoring integrity in our national exams," Mong'are said.
He further called on all the education sector stakeholders to support the cabinet secretary in his bid to restructure the education system in Kenya.
Matiang'i dissolved the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) board on Thursday over the irregularities that marred national examinations in 2015.
