This is despite a petition filed in Court, by the National Super Alliance (Nasa), seeking orders to stop the exercise, and cancel the Sh2.5 billion tender awarded to Dubai-based firm, Al Ghurair Printing and Publishing LLC, to print the papers.

Sunday, IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati said the printing excludes presidential ballot papers, which will begin July.

He noted the commission already approved the ballot printing for most of the candidates, starting with MCA, MP, Woman Rep, Senator, and Governor posts.

Speaking during an event to guide 850 IEBC staff through an election preparedness, Chebukati called on calm from politicians, asking them to stop frustrating efforts made by the Commission, in preparing for the elections.
