Yatta sub-county leaders have been urged to identify projects to be implimented depending on the interests of the residents.
Deputy Governor Bernard Kiala told the leaders to ensure they involve locals in choosing projects to be undertaken.
He was speaking at a sensitiaation forum for sub-county leaders at the Yatta Deputy County Commissioner's offices on Wednesday where he also met with the sub-county liason and executive committees members.
He reiterated that public participatory forums should be held at every ward level to capture as many views as possible before preparing the County Integrated Development Plan.
He said the procedure in prioritising the projects would be on the order of the biggest impact, sustainability, multiple effects, reality, practical and rational.
