Chiefs and their assistants in Masinga sub-county have been asked to prioritise voter registration.
This is after a very low turnout was reported resulting in a meeting to deliberate on ways of increasing voter registration.
The meeting was convened by the sub-county commissioner Jacob Narenka and Masinga IEBC chief Ahmed Mutisya who was optimistic that after the meeting the numbers will go up.
According to the deliberations, the chiefs can Mobilise voters through door to door campaigns and supporting the IEBC staff doing voter registration.
The meeting was held in Masinga town Tuesday.
