A former General Service Unit officer on death row has successfully escaped from prison in Siaya.
Convicted for five counts of violent robberies, Francis Musyoka escaped from the Siaya Prison Thursday night.
According to prison officer-in-charge Philip Kahi, the hard-core jailbird escaped by cutting bar grills of his cell using a hacksaw.
“From our investigations, we believe he must have used a hack saw to cut the fence,” said Kahi.
Police have launched a search for him.
