Police have arrested a prison warder who is alleged to be in connection to Kirinyaga Deputy Governor Peter Ndambiri’s explicit viral video.
The prison warder who is said to be based at Nyandarua prisons, was arrested at Wang’uru Police Station in Mwea on Thursday and taken to Thika Police Station.
The suspect is believed to be the one who was recorded assaulting Ndambiri in the video that went viral on social media.
Citizen Digital reports that the prison warder admitted to the offence.
The Deputy Governor had recorded a statement at the Thika Police Station on Wednesday over the incident where he alleged it was a set-up by a group of gangsters.
The video has since attracted mixed reactions both from political leaders and Kenyans with some demanding the politician to resign.
