A prisoner who is serving a two-two-year jail term for attempted suicide was on Thursday arraigned before a Nakuru court over renewed attempts to kill himself.Photo/justice.orgA man sentenced to a two-year jail term for trying to take away his life on Thursday found himself answering to the same charges before a Nakuru court.According to reports Joseph Maina who had earlier been convicted over the offence was once more arraigned before the court following his renewed efforts to kill himself.The court heard that the accused climbed a communication mast within the Nakuru GK prison on January 16 from where he threatened to jump and kill himself.In his response before the court, Mbugua denied the charges and instead asked the court to let him go to the hospital claiming he was not feeling well to which the judge obliged and ordered that he be taken to the Nakuru Level Five Hospital.However his plea to be granted bond hit a snag as the court ruled that he is still a prisoner.
