The principal of Archbishop Boniface Lele Mangelu in Kitui West is on the brink of losing his job after allowing Pro-abortion activists to administer contraceptives on the girls.
The school head, Mr Andrew Kwale has been under sharp criticisms from parents, fellow teachers, the ministry of education and other stakeholders for what is considered as negligence.
Detectives have embarked on determining whether the principals were compromised by the pro-abortion activists from Marie Stopes in order to allow them to administer the medication on the school girls.
Different stakeholders want to understand how comes the school head permitted activists, who have been advocating for women rights to bear children enter the school and undertake such an exercise. The activists are said to have administered the pills for controlling birth to hundreds of students without asking for their consent.
The principal has also violated Education CS Fred Matiang’i ban on visits during the third term in schools. The principal on Saturday was compelled to call for a Board of Management (BOM) meeting to discuss the matter. The principal reprimanded one Cecilia Munanie Muusya and her daughter for allegedly letting the story reach the press.
