Police in Kathiani sub county are investigating the death of a man whose body was found dumped in the forest along Kathiani – Machakos road on Wednesday.
Area police boss Lazarus Tarus confirmed the incident and said the body was found at around 10 am by a pedestrian who reported the matter to police.
“The victim had a deep cut on his neck and some injuries. He might have been killed else where before his body was dumped,” he said.
He assured that police have launched probe to establish who the killers are.
“Investigations have started to get the murderers. Meanwhile, any member of the public with information can volunteer to police to help arrest and prosecute the killers,” he said.
Tarus said security patrols will be intensified as festive season sets in.
