Kenya Police has begun a special investigation at Kenya Commercial Bank Thika branch after 'creative' robbers stole Sh50 million on Sunday night.

Police say the burglars accessed the bank through an underground tunnel which was discovered Monday morning.

“We wish to assure all our customers that their funds are safe and there is no cause for alarm,” read a statement from the bank.

“Customers seeking to transact can do so at any other KCB branch or access services through our mobile and internet banking platforms.”

By the time of publishing this article, no suspect has been arrested.
