Kenya National Examinations Council (Knec) chairman, Professor George Magoha, has said that students do not need grade A to be successful in life.
Prof Magoha made the remarks on Thursday afternoon during the release of 2016 KCSE results, which saw a significant drop in number of straight As, compared to last year.
Only 141 candidates attained grade A, compared to 2,636 last year.
“If you think that you need an A to make it in your life then that is the second stupidity that you have to get out of your system,” Prof Magoha said at Shimo la Tewa High School in Mombasa County, during the release of KCSE 2016 results.
