Kisii County Senator Prof Sam Ongeri is fit to be the abagusii community spokesperson than any other politician from Gusii.
This is according to Kitutu Chache South MP Richard Onyonka who said that the senator serving his first term in parliament was the most experienced leader from the region.
"Mr Ongeri has been in politics for long than any of us reason he is fit to be in the office," said Mr Onyonka.
However, Mr Onyonka said that he was not in any way opposed to the recent crowning of Dagoretti MP Simba Arati as the spokesperson.
He argued that Prof Ongeri had been in politics for so long and had a lot of experience after seeving in various offices.
The lawmaker argued that Mr Arati was crowned as a spokesperson by unknown people without the advise of the communitys council of elders.
Mr Onyonka also urged leaders from the community to be united so as the community gains from Government.
"A time has come when all gusii leaders should join together and speak in One voice for the benefit of our residents," he said
