Professionals from Elgeyo Marakwet county have expressed concern over increasing cases of insecurity that has led to the killing of 8 people in Kerio Valley.
Speaking in Eldoret, the professionals led by Livingstone Talel and Cosmas Ruto, called on interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i to find a long-lasting solution to the insecurity that they said it has affected development projects in the area.
They said the government has been silent on the same, noting that five people were killed just in the past three days.
On Saturday evening, one person was shot dead in Kerio Valley in Kaben, Marakwet East as bandits armed with AK-47 rifles continue launching attacks in the volatile region.
The attack is believed to have been carried out by assailants from West Pokot.
