Governor Kinuthia Mbugua has asked professionals in the county to work with the government to promote development.
Speaking to journalists after holding a meeting with professionals at Visoi ward on Friday, Mbugua said that professionals have a responsibility to give back to the society.
He noted that working together will ensure peoples’ challenges in the county are addressed.
“My appeal is to professionals from across Nakuru to partner with my government so as to ensure locals get quality services,” he said.
Mbugua said that time has come for leaders and professionals in the county to come together for the benefit of the people, adding that the county government has put in place avenues to ensure that professionals are engaged in county activities.
Mbugua also said that such partnerships will enhance unity and encourage interactions, noting that Nakuru is a cosmopolitan county.
He further asked leaders at the grass roots, especially chiefs and their assistants to work with the government to address the problem of insecurity.
He urged them to take full charge of their localities and ensure law and order among the people, noting that insecurity will be fought if all stakeholders work together.
“Chiefs in villages have a crucial role to play in matters security and they should interact well with the people in order to get intelligence on matters of security,” he added.
