An MP affiliated to the Jubilee coalition has urged his National Super Alliance (NASA) counterparts to participate in the October 26 repeat presidential polls, saying any further delay would aggravate the economic situation in the country.Addressing supporters in Mombasa on Sunday, Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria argued that the country is already reeling from the aftermath of the prolonged political tension occasioned by the annulled August 8 presidential poll results.Kuria noted that the coastal county which is known for its tourism industry was among the worst hit by the political temperatures being witnessed in the country, since tourists have opted to stay away due to heightened political activities."You can see for yourselves the impacts of this prolonged political situation in the country. It has even affected Mombasa's economy which mainly relies on tourism,” said Kuria.“That is why we continue to appeal to our rivals in NASA to contend with October 26 so that the country can move forward,” he added.
