Veteran politician and Maasai elder John Keen, is died.
The former Assistant Minister died aged 90, three months after William Ole Ntimama, a former Cabinet Minister and Maasai elder died.
According to the family spokesman Antony Keen, Keen died at the Nairobi's Aga Khan Hospital on Sunday while undergoing treatment after falling ill three days before.
Keen served also served as a Cabinet Minister in the Moi government in the 1980s.
He was born of a Germany father and a Kenyan mother, and he is remembered for advocating for people of the Maasai community to protect their land.
He is survived by four wives and over 11 children and a number of grandchildren.
Keen's remain currently lie at the Lee Funeral Home ahead of the burial on December 30, 2016.
"My father's wish was to be buried as soon as possible," said Antony.
