Parents from Eburi Primary School in Sameta Sub-County have been challenged to identify and promote their children's talents in the field of art.

School deputy headteacher George Nyankuru underscored the importance of parents identifying their children's talents saying it would help them shape their skills.

He also challenged the Ministry of education to work closely with schools by developing a friendly curriculum that would help talented children prosper.

"As parents we have killed the future of our children by suppressing their talents in various fields in favor of education which unfortunately does not give automatic success to every child," said Nyankuru

"We should be keen with our children and help define what they are good at a tender age. Talent pays and time has come for the ministry to work on that for the better of our coming generations," he added.

Nyankuru also emphasized on the need to of shaping sporting talent across Gusii region.
