[Photo|KTN Kenya]Residents in Homa Bay county are counting loses after heavy rains destroyed property of unknown worth on Thursday.Strong winds blew off roofs of at least seven permanent buildings at Amoyo market, West Kanyadoto Location, Ndhiwa Sub-County.Victims said the night rains caused them massive loses.Amoyo Dispensary which serves several people in Kanyadato Ward was as well affected.The Dispensary Development Committee chairperson Atieno Ooko said they resulted to erecting temporary tents after the dispensary roof was blown off six months ago."But it is unfortunate the wind blew off the tents and destroyed medical equipment inside," she said.She called on the County Government of Homa Bay to help them out.Ndhiwa police chief Nixon Makokha confirmed the incidents saying no one was injured.
