A property developer at Blankets Estate in Nakuru has offered to extend a local Police Post to enhance security and public services in the area.
David Gulani a Nakuru based property developer who is involved in a construction project adjacent to the Blankets Police Post told this writer during an interview on Friday at the site that he had decided to use part of the ongoing construction resources to help expand the police post on philanthropic principles and also to help enhance security and public service delivery by police in the area.
According to Gulani who owns the commercial land property adjacent the Police Post, he had for long noted with concern the makeshift old track container that was used to house police at the post.
He noted that he had sought permission from Nakuru Police Boss Benard Kioko and the County Commissioner’s office who welcomed the offer and gave him a go ahead.
“This is a normal philanthropic gesture. As a resident of the area, I believe this project that will enhance security here because more police officers will be posted at the Police Post to increase police patrols and surveys. Members of the public who need police services will also be served adequately,’’ said Gulani.
