Renowned Repentance and Holiness Ministry Prophet David Owuor has said Kenyans have abandoned God, hence the ongoing drought in parts of the country.
Owuor says Kenyans must dedicate themselves to God for the famine to end.
The prophet has called on President Uhuru Kenyatta to organise for a national prayer day to save the situation.
The ongoing IEBC voter registration in Samburu County has been affected by the severe drought, with some residents fleeing due to famine.
“What I see right now I see a famine. I see a lot of people walking. I see a lot of people walking in columns like this carrying some little containers, and so forth. So there is a famine that is coming here. This famine may be very big if they do not bring repentance before the Lord,” said Prophet Owuor, as quoted by edaily.
“So the Lord is asking for repentance in this land of Kenya. Then there must be a National Repentance where all the leadership and all the people gather as one person and go before the Lord.”
