Prophet David Owuor is well known for his powers to foretell the future and perform healing miracles.
In this capacity, Dr. Owuor has made quite a number of prophecies that have at one time believed to have come to pass.
Among them include the massive tsunami that hit Chile merely a year after his prophecy, killing around 500 people.
In 2010 another of his prophecy came to pass.
This was the massive earthquake that hit the Haiti capital resulting in loss of lives of thousands of people.
The 'mighty prophet' also prophesied floods.
He warned of floods hitting nations across the world.
Floods that would be strong enough to wipe out people as well as properties.
The prophet has claimed on several occasions that he foretold the internecine bloodbath that rocked Kenya after the bitterly disputed 2007 presidential election in which Mwai Kibaki was declared the victor.
About 1600 people lost their lives and many more displaced.
Owuor's followers believe the recent ongoing floods ravaging parts of the country as well as parts of Tanzania could as well be the floods the prophet spoke about in the past.
The floods have caused deaths and loss of properties in the country for the past one month.
Could all these have been prevented if at all the government took with seriousness the warnings by the prophet?
Many would argue that Kenya is always a reactive and not a proactive nation and it was much expected for the floods to hit the country before dealing with it.
All in all, it wise to remember that the 'mighty prophet' also warned of the same and the country will still remain to bear the brunt as floods keep wreaking havoc across the country.
